Paul Murphy: Artistic Director

Paul Murphy has danced professionally with Houston Ballet, Ballet Omaha, Ballet es Komischen Oper Berlin, Ballet South. He joined Ballet West in 1996, was promoted to Senior Artist in 1998 and left the company in 2002. Paul has performed leading roles in the Nutcracker, Giselle, Balanchine's Violin Concerto, The Four Temperaments, Theme and Variations, and Ghost Dances and has appeared in five different versions of Swan Lake . His choreographic and directorial credits include the full-length musical The Legend of Arrowhead Returns, and the short ballets Heroic and Gemini performed by Ballet West. Choreography for MWB includes the original full-length ballets The Snow Queen, The Frog Prince, Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. Currently, Paul is Artistic Director of Mountain West Ballet.
